SOLD 1951 Crosley Hook'n Ladder

25,000.00

Rare is an overused word, but this unique truck lives up to the title. A 1951 Crosley Hook and Ladder. One of only four built by the Overland Company in Massachusetts to be used as a fairground ride in the late forties and fifties. It resided for many years in a museum in New Jersey and is fully restored and running. This in the only example outside of the U.S.A.  The Crosley has a 44 cu single over head cam engine, the first SOHC engine mass produced in America. It was so light and reliable it was used as a generator in Boeing B-17 Flying Fortresses and other bombers in WW2. After the war the little Crosley engine was used extensively in motor racing. This will be real headturner at classic shows, you can just see it at Goodwood. There is no chance of someone else upstaging you!

Only one person can buy this unique vehicle. Call 07710 159184 for more information
